How the books are written
Money → Accounting
Every sale, payment, deposit, old gold purchase, delivery from a supplier, karigar job, repair and adjustment writes its own journal entry, debits equal to credits. You do not post them by hand.
Money customers owe, their deposits, metal owed to suppliers, consignment owed to owners and each kind of stock are separate accounts — never one mixed balance.
Journal lines can never be edited or deleted. A mistake in a record is put right on the record; a manual journal is undone by reversing it.
Switched Accounting on after you had been trading? Press Rebuild from records once. Enter opening balances (bank, capital) as a manual journal.
Statements, reconciliation and closing
Trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow — for one company, one branch, or everything together.
Receivables & payables age what customers owe and what you owe suppliers. Bank reconciliation: enter the statement balance and tick what appears on it until nothing is left to find.
Close a period to stop anything being posted on or before a date; a late record lands on the next open day.
This chapter describes the software as it is today. Every account gets the same guide inside the product, searchable and printable.
