A refining batch
Workshop & Quality → Melting & Refining
Until approval nothing is booked, and a batch can be cancelled — every lot goes back to how it was.
- 1 Melting & Refining → New batch: tick the scrap lots of one metal. The fine-metal estimate is their purity × weight.
- 2 Melt in-house: enter the bar weight and assay. Or send to a refinery and, when it comes back, enter the certificate — fine gold (and any silver) recovered, charges in money or kept in metal.
- 3 A manager approves. Only then are the lots used up, the fine metal put in stock at their cost plus charges, the loss and recovery % recorded, and the refiner's charges owed or paid.
