Khata, Credit & Installments

Customers who pay later, without the diary

Every jeweller has them: the family that takes the set now and pays over the next months. Here a credit sale is a real sale on a named customer's Khata, with a due date and a credit limit โ€” and payments, installment plans and payment links all come off the same ledger.

01

A credit sale is a real sale

It completes, prints, leaves stock and is counted in the day's figures โ€” it simply has not been paid for, and the Khata says so.

02

Due dates and credit limits

Each credit sale is due on the customer's own terms. Going over their limit needs the permission or a manager's PIN.

03

Payments set against invoices

A payment pays the invoice you name first, then the oldest โ€” and every payment prints a receipt showing what it paid.

04

Who is late, and by how long

Aged by due date โ€” not yet due, 1โ€“30, 31โ€“60, over 60 days late โ€” with a WhatsApp reminder beside each, and a collection reminder written every morning.

05

Installment plans

Spread what is on the Khata over weekly, fortnightly or monthly installments; each payment fills them in order.

06

Payment links on your own merchant account

Send a link to pay a balance, an installment or a deposit. The customer pays on Stripe's card page โ€” card numbers never come into the software.

FAQ

About Khata, Credit & Installments

Does it handle customers who pay later?

Yes. A sale can go on a named customer's Khata at the counter, with their existing balance shown first. It is due on their terms, can be spread into installments, and every payment is set against the invoices it pays, with a receipt.
