FBR POS integration for jewellers in Pakistan: step by step

Getting your jewelry business registered for FBR POS integration, receiving your POS ID and token, and printing an invoice with a QR code that verifies in Tax Asaan.

G GoJewels Team 3 minute read

The short answer: register for POS integration in IRIS, receive your POS ID and access token, enter both in your software's e-invoicing settings, set the HS / PCT code on your categories, and make a test sale whose QR code verifies in Tax Asaan.

1. Register in IRIS

Apply for POS integration for each sales point. FBR issues a POS ID and an access token per point of sale — a business with two showrooms has two.

2. Enter them in the software

In GoJewels: Settings → E-Invoicing → FBR. Switch it on and paste the POS ID and token for the branch.

3. Codes and rates

Jewelry, gold and silver may carry different codes and treatments. Set the HS / PCT code on each category and the tax rules your adviser confirms, so a new piece is never reported without one.

4. Test it

Make a small sale, print the invoice and scan its QR code with the Tax Asaan app. If it verifies, every sale after it is reported the same way, as it is made.

Do jewellers have to integrate with FBR?

Tier-1 retailers, as FBR defines them, must report each sale in real time through POS integration. Check with your tax adviser whether your business falls in that category.

What happens if FBR rejects an invoice?

The sale shows FBR's own reason — usually a PCT code or a rate that does not match your registration — so it can be corrected and sent again.
