6 topics in this chapter · Version 1.4.0

Park a sale and come back to it

A customer who wants to think it over or fetch the rest of the money: press Park this sale. The cart is kept and the screen is free for the next customer.

Parked sales shows how many are waiting. Resume one and every price is worked out again at the rate in force now. Parking does not hold the pieces — reserve a piece if it must not be sold to anyone else.

Discounts, making charges and a manager's PIN

Open Price breakdown, discount & making on a piece to give a discount or agree different making charges. A padlock means your role may not do it alone.

When you complete the sale the screen asks for a manager's PIN. The manager types their own PIN on your screen; the sale is saved with their name as the approver. Every change of price is listed under Reports → Price Overrides.

PINs are the ones your staff sign in with on the PIN keypad. Five wrong PINs lock the approval box for five minutes.

Ways to pay

Cash, card, bank transfer and mobile wallet go into their accounts as before. Split payment adds another line.

Customer deposit spends money the customer paid in advance or got as store credit. Gift voucher takes a voucher code — press Check to see what is left on it. Loyalty points appear when the customer has some.

A deposit, voucher or points can pay up to the total but never give change.

Receipts, WhatsApp and email

After a sale choose Thermal receipt (80 mm) or A4 invoice, send it on WhatsApp, or email it. The customer gets a link that opens the invoice without signing in.

Every copy is counted. A second print says DUPLICATE on it, and the invoice page lists who printed or sent each copy.

Returns and exchanges

Open the invoice and press Return / exchange. Tick the pieces coming back. Your policy (Settings → Policies) suggests what the shop keeps, for example the making charges.

Return gives the money back in cash, to the card, by bank or off the Khata. Exchange keeps it as the customer's credit and takes you to the POS to sell the new piece — pay with Customer deposit.

Returned pieces wait in quarantine until someone checks them and sets them back to Available.

Day end

Sales → Day End

Day End shows the day's sales by how they were paid, returns, old gold bought, deposits and vouchers, money in and out of each account, and every till's expected and counted cash. Print it and close your till.

This chapter describes the software as it is today. Every account gets the same guide inside the product, searchable and printable.
