Giving a quotation
Quotations
A quotation prices pieces from stock, or custom items by metal, purity and weight, at today's rate. The rate is held until the valid-until date, even if the market moves.
- 1 Open Quotations and press New quotation.
- 2 Choose the customer and the date the quotation is valid until.
- 3 Add pieces from stock, or describe a custom item with its weight and making.
- 4 Save, then print it for the customer.
Quotations is a module. If you do not see it, switch it on under Settings → Modules.
Turning a quotation into a sale
Open the quotation and press Sell. The sale screen opens with its pieces at the quoted rate. When the sale is completed, the quotation is marked converted.
After the valid-until date, the quotation shows as expired and its pieces are priced at the rate of the day.
